Theodore Shapiro is teaming up with Chris Bacon (Bates
Motel, Source Code) and will provide original score for
Jonathan Levine's upcoming action comedy SNATCHED starring Amy
Schumer, Goldie Hawn, Christopher Meloni, Randall Park, Óscar Jaenada
and Wanda Sykes. The film revolves around a daughter who takes
her recently divorced and somewhat neurotic mother on a trip to an
Amazon rainforest. Something goes seriously wrong during the course
of their vacation, and the film follows them as they embark on a mad
dash to make it to an American embassy.
The movie will be released by 20th
Century Fox on May 12, 2017
and you can watch first trailer above.
Theodore Shapiro will compose the original score for upcoming
comedy THE POLKA KING, starring Jack Black, Jason Schwartzman, Jenny
Slate and Jacki Weaver. The movie is currently in post-production and
was directed by Maya Forbes (Infinitely Polar Bear) and Wallace Wolodarsky
who also co-wrote the screenplay based on Joshua Brown
and John Mikulak’s 2009 documentary The Man Who Would Be Polka King, which
followed the rise and fall of Jan Lewan, a Pennsylvania
polka sensation who unwittingly brought a town to its knees in
a Ponzi scheme.
David Permut and banner Permut Presentations produce alongside Black’s
Electric Dynamite, Priyanka Mattoo, Ben Stiller’s Red Hour and Shivani
Rawat’s ShivHans Pictures. The movie will premiere during Sundance Festival on
January 22, 2017.
