2018 2017 2016 2015 2014 2013 2012 2011 2010 2009 2008     2014 NEWS    December 22th, 2014: NEW PROJECT: TRUMBO Theodore Shapiro has signed to score upcoming drama TRUMBO, directed by Jay Roach (The Campaign, Game Change, Dinner for Schmucks). The film follows successful career of Hollywood screenwriter, Dalton Trumbo, which came to an end when he was blacklisted in the 1940s for being a Communist. The movie features impressive cast including Bryan Cranston in the title role, as well as Elle Fanning, Helen Mirren, John Goodman, Alan Tudyk or Diane Lane. TRUMBO is currently in post production and will be released in 2015. December 22th, 2014: NEW PROJECT: THE INTERN Theodore Shapiro is currently working on his original score for THE INTERN, new movie written and directed by Nancy Myers, which tells the story of an elderly intern (Robert DeNiro) who starts working for a fashion website. The movie, which also stars Rene Russo and Anne Hathaway is currently in post production and will be released on September 25th, 2015. September 21th, 2014: ALBUM : ST. VINCENT Sony Masterworks has announced release of two soundtrack albums for upcoming comedy ST. VINCENT. While one of the albums is listed as Various artists , the other one should include Theodore Shapiro's score only . Both will be released on October 21st. More information coming soon. September 9th, 2014: INTERVIEW: Creative Spark Theodore Shapiro recently did videointerview with the Academy and you can watch it below: July 3th, 2014: NEW PROJECT: SPY Theodore Shapiro has signed on to score upcoming comedy SPY for 20th Century Fox. The movie was directed by Paul Feig (Bridesmaids) and stars Melissa McCarthy, Rose Byrne, Jude Law, Jason Statham, Morena Baccarin or 50 Cent. SPY is currently in post production and expected to be released on May 22nd, 2015. July 3th, 2014: TRAILER: ST. VINCENT First trailer for upcoming comedy ST. VINCENT was just released and you can watch it below. As previously announced, the movie will be released by The Weinstein Company on October 24th, 2014 and tells the story of a young boy whose parents just divorced and who finds an unlikely friend and mentor in the misanthropic, bawdy, hedonistic, war veteran who lives next door. March 8th, 2014: IFMCA: THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY Congratulations to Theodore Shapiro who won the award for the Best Original Score in Comedy Film for THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY. You can watch his acceptance speech below: January 9th, 2014: NEW PROJECT: THE WOLF OF WALL STREET Theodore Shapiro provided additional music for Martin Scorsese's movie currently playing in theatres worldwide. His contribution consists of three pieces included during various commercials in the film (Stratton Oakmont, Informercial and Exotic Vacations).
